The taste is rich with clear hints of ripe Etna fruit
Gentle pressing and long macerations at controlled temperature
The eye immediately catches the deep yellow at the center of the glass and a rim rich in bright straw-like hues Scents of Mediterranean scrub and the intense smell of broom open a harmonious sequence of strong floral, citrus and lily notes just in bloom.
On the palate it comes in fresh and softly, then at once shows itself warm, enveloping and persistent.
Etna’s 1669 eruption, considered the most devastating in recorded history, began in spring and ended in mid-July of the same year.
It devastated and buried dozens of towns, created the Monti Rossi crater and encircled the city of Catania, forming a coastline over 2 km long.
